We have been waiting for quite long for Saba Qamar’s web-series ‘Naina Ki Sharafat’, and 2022 has promised its release soon.
The OTT platform Urduflix, which will be streaming the web-series, has unveiled the first look of the series, which has Saba Qamar in a gaudy dress holding binoculars with one hand, smoking a cigarette along.
From the poster just revealed, it seems as if there’s definitely verbal irony latent in the title, for if Saba Qamar is to perform the titular role of Naina, then it does not, in any way, exude what the society may consider ‘sharafat’ (decency).
It can also be said that ‘Naina Ki Sharafat’, therefore, might be another attempt amongst many to refute societal notions of honour and decency, and Saba Qamar is undoubtedly the best choice for such a role, considering her rebellious nature in real life as well.
Along with Saba Qamar, Ahmad Hasan and Saleem Mairaj will also be featuring in this series, which has been directed by ace director Saqib Khan.
Just recently, Saqib Khan’s navy telefilm ‘Hangor S-131’ was released, which also had Saba Qamar playing one of the characters. How the director-actor chemistry represents itself this time on screen.
