Sanaullah advises Alvi to respect constitutionally mandated limits

Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah has said that President Dr. Arif Alvi should respect his constitutionally mandated limits.

The interior minister responded to President Alvi’s letter to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif by saying that Alvi should keep within his legal mandate and time frame and avoid turning into Imran Khan’s puppet.

Rana Sanaullah said that the President should question PTI Chairman about his involvement in terrorism, write to Imran Khan requesting that he return 190 million pounds to Pakistan, and appear in court to address the Toshakhana and foreign funding.

The federal interior minister added that the constitutional post was subject to the law and the constitution. “When 15 kg of drug was spilled on political rivals, where were the human rights?” he questioned.

Further, he asked if political opponents’ sisters and daughters were executed in accordance with human rights, and where were these rights when journalists’ bones were shattered.

The interior minister enquired as to whether firing gasoline bombs, gunfire, and grenades against the police complied with human rights.
