Pakistan Muslim League-Q chief organizer Chaudhry Sarwar said that elections in the provinces and center should be held on same day.
Addressing a press conference in Lahore on Wednesday, the PML-Q leader said that there should be a unanimous decision to hold elections in Pakistan on one single day. He further added that inflation has broken the back of people and our economic situation worsened due to prevailing political uncertainty in the country.
Sarwar was of the view that he believes in connecting the political parties and political leaders but he couldn’t understand Imran Khan despite the fact that he had worked with him closely. “Imran Khan says that he made a mistake by giving extension to Gen Bajwa as Army Chief but reality is that he made many mistakes in politics. The majority of Pakistan rejected Imran Khan’s decision to dissolve the provincial assemblies,” Sarwar said.
According to Ch Sarwar, we all are responsible for the current situation of the country and it is time we must learn from history. He further said that it is not possible in any democracy in the world that a province with the population of 120 million does not know who its chief minister is. He was taking a jibe at former CM Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar who had bitter relationship with Sarwar during his stint as Governor.
“I will say only one thing about Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf that it failed to give justice to its own workers and how can it bring justice in the country,” Sarwar added. He was of the view that PTI did huge mistakes in awarding tickets in Punjab and therefore it will lose half of its seats in the elections due to its poor policies.
PML-Q leader Chaudhry Shafay Hussain was also present on the occasion.
In the meanwhile, PML-Q has fielded strong candidates in the upcoming election in Punjab while awarding tickets to more than 50 candidates in the province. According to Pakistan Muslim League (Q), Chaudhry Sarwar and Chaudhry Shafay Hussain distributed tickets in a ceremony held in Lahore. However, the tickets of North Punjab were distributed by the party leaders including Mrs. Farrukh Khan, Mustafa Malik, Chaudhry Ansar Farooq and Rizwan Sadiq. The tickets have been issued to Hamad Abbasi from Murree, Nargis Jabeen from Rawalpindi, and Chaudhry Babar Javed from Taxila.
PML-Q leader Mrs. Farrukh Khan in a statement said that the tickets were given to more than five percent of women. The party will play a key role in the upcoming elections, said PML-Q leader Mustafa Malik. He further said that the party has also supported candidates in more than a hundred constituencies. Meanwhile, Chaudhry Ansar Farooq said that under the leadership of Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain and Chaudhry Sarwar, the Muslim League-Q is emerging as a major political party across the country.
