The Saudi Ministry of Defence has announced that comprehensive security and defence arrangements have been finalized to ensure the protection of millions of pilgrims during the upcoming Hajj season.

According to Arab media reports, Saudi authorities have significantly enhanced aerial surveillance over the holy sites, including Masjid al-Haram in Makkah and the key Hajj locations of Mina, Muzdalifah, and Arafat.

Officials said a robust “air defence shield” has been established around the Grand Mosque and surrounding sacred areas, with continuous monitoring of airspace to ensure maximum security. The Saudi Air Defence Forces remain on high alert and are actively engaged in safeguarding the holy sites throughout the pilgrimage period.

The Ministry further stated that advanced air surveillance systems are now fully operational, forming a comprehensive security network designed to detect and respond to any potential threats in real time.

As part of the security preparedness, the Ministry of Defence also released footage showcasing the deployment of modern defence infrastructure and monitoring systems around the holy sites.

Authorities emphasized that extraordinary measures have been implemented this year to guarantee the safety, peace, and smooth movement of pilgrims, reaffirming Saudi Arabia’s commitment to providing a secure environment for one of the world’s largest annual religious gatherings.
