Security forces eliminate two ‘most-wanted’ terrorists in NW

Security forces eliminated two most-wanted terrorists in Boya, North Waziristan, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Tuesday.

The ISPR identified the two men as commander Rasheed alias Jabir and Abdul Salam alias Chamtoo. The two were killed in an exchange of fire with security personnel on the night of May 16-17.

The ISPR said that the two terrorists were involved in terrorist activities in the Boya area.

Security forces also seized weapons and ammunition.

On Sunday, three soldiers of the Pakistan Army and three children were martyred as a result of a suicide blast in the vicinity of Miranshah, North Waziristan.

In a statement, the military’s media wing, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), stated on Sunday that intelligence agencies were investigating to find out about the suicide bomber and his handlers/facilitators.

The three soldiers were identified as 33-year-old Lance Havaldar Zubair Qadir from Pakpattan, 21-year-old Sepoy Uzair Asfar from Haripur and 22-year-old Sepoy Qasim Maqsood from Multan.

The children were identified as 11-year-old Ahmed Hassan, eight-year-old Ahsan and four-year-old Anum.
