The military’s media wing released a statement stating that six terrorists were shot dead by security personnel during two skirmishes with criminals in the Tank and North Waziristan Districts.
A clash between the military troops and terrorists happened on Thursday night in or near Manzai, Tank District, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
Three terrorist were killed when the security officers “effectively engaged the terrorists’ location.” The terrorists who were killed had weapons and ammo that had been found.
Meanwhile, “another fierce encounter” in the general area of Razmak, North Waziristan District, claimed the lives of three militants.
The terrorists who were murdered continued to actively engage in terrorist attacks on security personnel and the murder of innocent civilians. To get rid of any further terrorists discovered there, the area is being sanitized, according to the ISPR.
Terrorists have now been killed by security personnel in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa twice in the last four days.
Four terrorists, including a commander, were shot dead by security personnel on Tuesday during two separate intelligence-based operations (IBOs) in the districts of Bajaur and Khyber in KP.
The security forces in Bajaur initiated the operation after receiving a tip-off regarding the presence of terrorists near Inayat Qilla.
