Flood relief operations have been stopped by several organizations after incidents of looting trucks carrying relief goods in Dera Murad Jamali.
Several NGOs have halted their relief operations seeking security from law enforcing agencies.
According to media reports, hundreds of people including men and women had gathered near the office of Tehsildar after receiving information about arrival of trucks.
Officials have claimed that the people affected from floods had gathered there and they took ration and relief items after stopping two trucks.
Police and local administration had reached the spot of incident and controlled the situation.
NGOs have demanded action against the looters after they stopped further operations, demanding security from the law enforcement agencies.
Media reports have also claimed that in Dera Bugti, Kohlu and some other areas as well, people had gathered in protest due to non-provision of relief goods.
The protestors had alleged the government of dumping relief goods in its godowns after which the goods were being distributed on basis of political affiliation.
Government officials have called it propaganda, denying the allegations. Officials have said that the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) along with NGOs was distributing the relief goods on equity basis. They also said that drinking water, cooked food and tents were included in the relief goods provided to people.
