Foreign Affairs Minister and Ghousia Jamait Chief Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi is expected to reach Tharparkar and celebrate Diwali with the people there on Thursday.
According to the local party leaders, besides taking part in the celebrations to enjoy various features of the festival of lights, Qureshi would address a big public gathering in the town.
Arbab Khan Sahib Togachi, Krishan Sharma, advocate Lajpat Soorani and other Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) leaders reviewed the arrangements for the big event. The leaders spoke to the media and told them that Qureshi would be arriving to participate in the religious celebrations.
Qureshi would also address the people of Thar. They said that during the speech, the foreign minister was also expected to make some announcements for the various packages for Tharparkar district on behalf of Prime Minister Imran Khan. Dr Arbab Ghulam Rahim, Haleem Adil Sheikh, Lal Chand Malhi, Jay Parkash Lohona and others would also speak at the event. They said that leaders had made all the arrangements to warmly welcome Qureshi and others on their arrival in Mithi.
