Shahbaz says Benazir’s martyrdom huge loss for Pakistan

PML-N president says Bhutto’s services for democracy unparalled

Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif has said the martyrdom of former prime minister of Pakistan Benazir Bhutto was a huge loss for Pakistan.

In a tweet today, the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Shahbaz offered a prayer for the Pakistan People’s Party leader and said that while Benazir performed many services for the country, her work for democracy was unparalleled.

Meanwhile, the 14th death anniversary of the former prime minister is being observed with reverence throughout the country.

Pakistan People’s Party has completed its arrangements for the main function on the occasion at Garhi Khuda Buksh. A big gathering is scheduled to be held for which a stage has been prepared for the party leadership to address the public.

Pakistan People’s Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, former president and co-Chairman of the party Asif Ali Zardari, Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah are among the party leaders who would be speaking on the occasion.

On December 27th, 2007, Benazir Bhutto was martyred at a massive public meeting in Liaquat Bagh, Rawalpindi.
