Former England legend Stuart Broad praised Pakistani pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi as one of his favorite bowlers to watch in the world and showed his respect for him.
Broad praised Afridi’s extraordinary intensity and presence as he ran in to throw his spells, saying that these qualities make the young Pakistani bowler an alluring sight on the cricket pitch.
The veteran pacer continued to compliment his natural talent, praising, in particular, his capacity to swing the ball back towards right-handers, a quality that Broad finds most pleasing to observe.
“Shaheen Shah Afridi has become one of my all-time favorite bowlers to watch. He has such a presence as he runs in, and I adore watching bowlers enter the lane with life and vitality in their run-ups. It’s very enjoyable to watch the way the ball swings back into the right-handers because he has such natural skill.”
It should be noted that the 23-year-old bowler is presently playing for Welsh Fire in the ongoing Hundred Men’s Competition 2023.
He has taken three wickets at an average of 13.33 and an economy rate of 8.00, and he is also tied for second place in the tournament in terms of wickets taken.
