The Awami Muslims League (AML) chief and former interior minister Sheikh Rashid has decried the police raids at his home, alleging that the security personnel plundered his home and assaulted his domestic employees.

Sheikh Rashid stated on Twitter, “I have videos with me,” and claimed that although the police were “scared” in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, numerous human rights violations were occurring in Punjab and Islamabad.

On the other hand, the Islamabad police have responded to claims made by PTI ally Sheikh Rashid about the torture of his staff members by saying that the raid was carried out with a warrant in hand.

It stated in a tweet that the raid was carried out after the Islamabad Police obtained the warrant from the Kohsar police station in accordance with case number 376/23. No employees were tortured by the police. A medical report states that one employee was injured after falling.

“One submachine gun was taken from two cars that the police confiscated. The status of the weapon’s licensing or lack thereof is the subject of an investigation, it was said.
