The news that the Pakistani film ‘Delhi Gate’ will finally release this year after a delay of two years was announced by Shamoon Abbasi a few months back. However, the viewers weren’t told that the Lahore spell for the film’s shoot was still not completed.
It was on this weekend that Abbasi told through his Instagram account that he had come to Lahore along with the film’s team to shoot for the Lahore spell. It came as quite a surprise to many, as the majority had thought that the entire film would be set in Lahore, considering its title which takes its name from one of the many historically significant gates of the old Lahore, built back in the days of the Mughal regime.
It is now that the viewers have been told that the film has partially been set in Karachi and partially in Lahore, and revolves around a rich man falling in love with probably a Lahori woman, while Delhi Gate and its premises serve as the backdrop for their romance.
