Sindh Govt spokesperson responds to Hafiz Naeem’s remarks

Sindh government spokesperson Saadia Javed has strongly responded to recent comments made by Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan chief Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman during a press conference.

In a statement issued from Karachi, Saadia Javed said that Hafiz Naeem’s criticism of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) reflects his disappointment following his party’s poor performance in the Gilgit-Baltistan elections. She argued that instead of accepting the electoral outcome, he has chosen to target the PPP with political accusations.

The spokesperson maintained that the people of Karachi are well aware of the PPP’s public service record and its contributions to development and welfare projects. She also criticized local administrations led by political opponents, claiming that several town governments in Karachi failed to address key civic issues and are now attempting to shift blame onto others to hide their own shortcomings.

Saadia Javed further stated that the Pakistan Peoples Party continues to enjoy widespread public support across the country, from Karachi to Gilgit-Baltistan. According to her, the party’s connection with the public stems from its longstanding commitment to serving communities and addressing their concerns.

The exchange highlights the ongoing political tensions between the PPP and Jamaat-e-Islami, as both parties continue to trade criticism over governance, public service delivery, and electoral performance.
