Sindh House in Islamabad to be monitored by federal agencies, orders PM

PM Khan asks Qureshi and Khattak to win back MNAs

Prime Minister Imran Khan has ordered the monitoring of the Sindh House in Islamabad where the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) is reportedly keeping the lawmakers from the ruling party who will be voting on the day of the no-trust motion.

According to media reports, in a meeting on Thursday, PM Khan was told the names of the MNAs who were joining the opposition and was informed of the presence of Sindh police personnel in Sindh House.

PM Khan chaired the meeting and said that he knew that people were with him and he would foil the no-confidence motion.

On the other hand, Sindh police have increased the security and denied the entry of any guest in Sindh House.

Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi and Defence Minister Pervaiz Khattak were tasked by the PM to win back the lawmakers who were tilting towards the opposition.

According to media reports, PM Khan was shocked to know the names of those who had defected. The participants of the meeting advised the PM to call the parliamentary party’s meeting before the no-confidence motion voting so the government could have the idea of its support.

Following a briefing by the PTI’s team of legal experts, it was decided to convene the National Assembly session on March 21.
