Six Pakistani national cricket players will feature in this year’s edition of The Hundred.

Usama Mir and Zaman Khan are on the roster of the Manchester Originals, while Shaheen Afridi and Haris Rauf will play for Welsh Fire.

Both young and fast Ihsanullah and the all-rounder Shadab Khan will be playing for the Oval Invincibles and Birmingham Phoenix, respectively.

The competition, which will start on Tuesday, August 1 at Nottingham’s Trent Bridge, is in its third year and all of them are expected to make their debuts.

Trent Rockets’ men’s and women’s doubleheader teams will compete against Southern Braves on the opening day.

The current men’s champion is Trent Rockets, whereas Southern Braves won the men’s competition in The Hundred’s first iteration.

Oval Invincible won both of the editions of the women’s competitions.

The competition, which will last for 4 weeks, will feature a total of 24 games. This year’s elimination game will take place at The Oval in London rather than the Ageas Bowl in Southampton, and the final is scheduled on August 27 at The Lords.

Although the competition was initially scheduled to begin in 2020, the covid pandemic caused it to be postponed until 2021.

In 2022, the second iteration of The Hundred attracted more than 500,000 spectators, with a record 271,000 turning out for the women’s bouts.
