Slovakia suspends new visa applications for Russian citizens

Slovakia has announced the temporary suspension of new visa applications from Russian citizens, marking another step in Europe’s tightening approach toward travel from Russia as security concerns continue to shape immigration policies across the continent.

According to government officials, the decision is aimed at strengthening national security while ensuring stricter scrutiny of visa requests under the European Union’s Schengen framework.
