The Sui Northern Gas Pipeline Limited (SNGPL) declared on Monday that it will continue to supply the industry while also providing gas to household consumers during mealtimes.
MD Sui Northern Gas Ali J Hamdani stated in a statement that the decision is taken due to the high price of regasified liquefied natural gas (RLNG) on the international market. Hamdani added that the gas supplies had been impacted by the conflict between Russia and Ukraine.
Domestic consumers will receive gas from 6 am to 9 am, 12 pm to 2 pm, and 6 pm to 9 pm, according to the statement, while liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) cylinders were being delivered in regions where there were complaints of low pressure. It was also mentioned that the industry was receiving gas.
Hamdani said that steps are being taken to stop gas smuggling. Millions of rupees in the theft have been discovered, and users who had installed compressors were subject to repercussions.
According to the statement, the gas would be delivered through air-mix facilities to the country’s northern regions.
