Security forces on Wednesday killed 10 terrorists in two separate incidents in the Datta Khel area of North Waziristan, the military said.
In the first incident, Pakistan Army troops killed four terrorists during an exchange of fire after security forces engaged terrorists’ movement in Datta Khel, the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said.
It said the troops also recovered weapons and ammunition from the area. The terrorists remained actively involved in terrorist activities against security forces, it added.
In another incident, security forces gunned down six terrorists in an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in the same area, the ISPR said. It added that the terrorists were involved in attacks against security forces.
However, during the intense exchange of fire, Lance Naik Islam ud Din (age 34 years, resident of Khyber District), embraced martyrdom.
