According to the All Pakistan Private Schools Federation, summer vacations in Punjab, Balochistan, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will be observed from June 15 to August 14. Kashif Mirza, the President of the Federation, announced that private schools across the country will reopen on August 15 after the summer break. In Sindh, the summer vacation is scheduled from June 1 to July 31, as per the President of the All Pakistan Private Schools Federation.
Additionally, President Kashif Mirza declared that schools will remain closed on May 25 in observance of Pakistan Martyrs Day. However, board exams will still take place as scheduled on that day. Regular classes in private schools will resume on May 26 according to the existing timetable.
Furthermore, Army Chief General Asim Munir has proclaimed that Pakistan Martyrs Day will be celebrated on May 25. The Public Relations Department of the Pakistan Army’s Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) announced that a distribution ceremony took place at General Headquarters Rawalpindi to honor martyrs and veterans. During the ceremony, the Army Chief acknowledged the exemplary services rendered by officers and soldiers during various operations.
According to the ISPR, 51 officers were awarded the Sitara-e-Imtiaz (Military), 22 officers and jawans were presented with the Tamgha-e-Basalat Medal, and two jawans were awarded special medals from the United Nations.
