Maryam declares time for change is over

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Vice President Maryam Nawaz taunted the ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) for its defeats in the local government polls in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and remarked that the change which the latter had pledged was nearing its end, and that too in an insulting manner.

She tweeted that change was not coming but it was going, citing PTI’s famous cry that change was not coming, it had already arrived.

She remarked that the government had shoved the 220 million citizens of Pakistan into issues like inflation, disorder and ineptitude, because of which the people had been abusing the government.

On the other hand, PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif insisted that the PKR 4.33 per unit hike in power tariff should be taken back at once.

He stated in his remarks that the power tariff hike and basic foodstuffs per month was economic exploitation and killing of the industrious Pakistani people. He stated that every tariff increase made the people remember that the prime minister was a robber.

He emphasized that the issues of the people and the economy must not be aggravated more, and that the government should resign rather than hurting the nation any more. He stated that the present government had become a cancer for Pakistan and the only way to survive was to remove this cancer.
