The CM said that on his direction Chief Secretary Kamran Afzal is once again present in the affected areas while the provincial ministers are also overseeing the relief activities. The CM lamented that unfortunately on the other hand the PDM parties are doing politics even in the given conditions. He said that the apathetic attitude of the opponents indicates that they do not care about the difficulties and calamities of their brothers and sisters.

Elahi said that these people have always displayed irresponsible behaviour on every important occasion, including flood and that their politics is not based on any principle or ideology. He emphasised that to come forward to help the flood victims is no less than worship and added that “it is our collective responsibility to help our calamity-stricken brothers and sisters”. The CM highlighted that the Punjab government is providing all possible resources to help the flood victims.
