Twitter to charge a monthly fee of $20 for blue tick verification badge: Report

Elon Musk the new Twitter CEO is expected to charge $19.99 per month for the new Twitter Blue subscription. Furthermore, Twitter accounts that have already been verified will be obligated to comply with this new method and pay for the blue tick.

According to the report by The Verge, authenticated users will have 90 days to switch to Twitter Blue or risk losing their blue tick mark.

Furthermore, Twitter employees have been told to move quickly on this new subscription plan or pack their belongings and leave.

The employees have been given a deadline of November 7, according to the report.
Twitter Blue subscribers currently pay $4.99 per month for features such as an edit button, a customized reader mode, bookmarks, and more. Musk is said to be tripling the price, with the added carrot of allowing unverified users to add a blue checkmark next to their handles.

“Existing verified users would have 90 days to subscribe to Twitter Blue or lose their verification,” The Verge reports.

Twitter Blue, which debuted last year, is a paid monthly subscription that grants users exclusive access to premium features. Twitter claims that this will allow you to personalize your Twitter experience. The subscription service is now available in the United States, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.
