Twitter’s premium memberships will not feature ads, Elon Musk

Owner of Twitter Elon Musk stated on Twitter on Saturday that more premium memberships of the social media website will not feature advertisements.

The billionaire said that Twitter’s advertisements were too large and frequent promising to take action in the coming weeks to address these issues.

Almost 90 percent of Twitter’s revenue comes from the selling of digital advertisements and Musk recently attributed a significant decline in revenue to rights organisations that convinced businesses to halt their Twitter advertising.

By 2023, Twitter will provide a higher tier with no commercials, according to Musk, and the Basic blue tick will have half as many as it has now.
