Two Levies officers among six civilians martyred in Balochistan

Six individuals including two Levies officers have been martyred in three different attacks in separate areas of Balochistan.

According to local media reports, four coal workers were martyred when armed individuals opened fire at a mine in the Harnai district of Khost. Three coal mine workers were also injured in the attack.

After firing a hail of shots into the mine, the assailants were able to escape. The afflicted coal miners were sent right away to the Harnai district hospital for medical attention.

The hospital declared an emergency to give the injured people immediate medical attention.

In a separate incident, Kohlu’s Janat Ali Union Council region saw the martyrdom of another Levies man and five other injuries due to a landmine explosion.

According to Risaldar Major Sher Muhammad Marri, the Levies personnel were on their way to the union council for local government election duty when their vehicle struck a land mine.

Balochistan Chief Minister Abdul Quddus Bizenjo vehemently denounced the three terrorist acts and asked the government to detain those responsible for the horrible atrocities.

CM Bizenjo after the three attacks committed to prosecuting those responsible in a statement. He urged the administration to submit a detailed report on this matter.
