Two Pakistan Army personnel embrace martyrdom in DI Khan: ISPR

Two Pakistan army personnel embraced martyrdom in a confrontation with terrorists in the general vicinity of Darazinda in Dera Ismail Khan, according to the military media wing.

On Saturday the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement that during the exchange of gunfire, Sepoy Muhammad Israr, 26, of Attock, and Naik Sajid Hussain, 33, both residents of Khushab, embraced martyrdom.

The ISPR said that the men battled valiantly. It further stated that the region is being cleared in order to get rid of any terrorists discovered there.

According to the ISPR, a Pakistani Army soldier was martyred last Sunday during a fire exchange with Afghan insurgents.

The ISPR stated, “Terrorists from inside Afghanistan across the international border opened fire on a military post in Hassan Khel Sector, North Waziristan District.”

The military’s media wing stated that Pakistan’s soldiers responded appropriately. However, during the battle, 32-year-old Assistant Lance Daffadar Waqar Ali embraced martyrdom. Waqar resided in Swabi’s Chota Lahore in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
