Incident took place in Karachi’s Soldier Bazaar

Two people including a Sindh Police assistant sub-inspector (ASI) were shot to death by armed men in Karachi’s Soldier Bazaar on Friday.

According to media reports, the attackers were on a motorcycle and the incident happened at Soldier Bazaar No. 2 area.

Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) East Qamar Raza Jaskani while talking to the media said that the victims had been identified as Javed Baloch, who according to police sources was an assistant sub-inspector of Sindh Police and Mohammad Muqaddas.

They were travelling on a bike when four people who were following them attacked and opened fire.

The victims of the attack were living in Lyari’s Chakiwara area.

According to the initial inquiry, the police has collected 13 pieces of 9mm pistol ammunition, and according to the SSP East, the incident was not resistance to the robbery, but looked like a personal clash.
