Two Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders have quit the party within 24 hours.

Former provincial minister Samsam Bokhari announced his decision to quit the PTI due to May 9 incidents.

In a video statement issued by Samsam Bukhari, he quit the PTI membership and strongly condemned the events of May 9. “Like every patriotic Pakistani, I strongly condemn the events of May 9. I have never believed in the politics of violence. ‘

“After this day, I announce my separation from the PTI and announce my decision to quit it. This country is ours,” he said.

Samsam Bokhari met Jahangir Tareen, chairman of the Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP) and decided to join the party.

Sources said that former provincial minister Samsam Bukhari will formally announce his joining the IPP at a press conference.

It may be recalled that former Punjab Home Minister Hashim Dogar had also joined the IPP after meeting Jahangir Tareen and announced his separation from the PTI.

It may be recalled that in the recent alleged audio leak, Samsam Bukhari was heard talking about the events of May 9 in a private gathering.

Samsam Bukhari was telling someone that it was decided in the core committee meeting to protest against the Pakistan Army.

Shehryar Afridi, Qasim Suri and Murad Saeed were also present in this meeting of the party.
