Advisor to Ukraine’s Defense Minister Yuriy Sak has claimed that Iranian Shahed-136 drones were not intended for Ukraine but were developed with a mass capability to strike Israel.

The minister has said that Ukraine was merely a testing ground for identifying and perfecting flaws and that drones would be used against Israel sooner or later.

According to a senior Ukrainian official, Israel is supplying Kyiv with intelligence on Iranian kamikaze drone strikes that Moscow is allegedly using to attack Ukrainian cities.

As per New York Times, Israel shared “intelligence useful for targeting the Iranian drones”.

Earlier last week, Israel’s Defense Minister Benny Gantz denied providing weapons to Ukraine, in response to which Sak stated that by denying provision of air defence to Ukraine, Israel was risking losing an opportunity to gain combat experience against the rising threat to Israel.

Earlier on Wednesday, another report stated that an anonymous Ukrainian source disclosed a private Israeli security firm as supplying Kyiv with satellite images of the Russian army’s positions.

Last week, Zelensky had accused Russia of using Iranian Shahed-136 drones in its recent strike on Ukraine.
