United States stands with the brave women of Iran, says Biden

United States President Joe Biden on Friday while addressing the protestors at a college in Irvine, California stated that the US stands with the brave women of Iran who are protesting after the death of Mahsa Amini- who was arrested by the morality police.

“It stunned me what it awakened in Iran. It awakened something that I don’t think will be quieted for a long, long time,” Biden stated while talking to Protestors who gathered holding “Free Iran” signs.

As per an i24 news report, Biden further added that he is ‘stunned’ by the mass protests in Iran.
President also emphasizes that Iran must stop violence against its people who are simply trying to exercise their basic rights. Women all over the world are being oppressed in various ways, but they should be allowed to wear whatever they want.

He also thanked the Persian community for speaking up.

Iran is seeing the biggest wave of protests after the death of young Kurd lady Mahsa Amini who was arrested and tortured by Iran’s morality police for not wearing “proper attire”.

Till now more than 100 people have lost their lives due to police crackdown on Iranian protestors.
