Unknown men arrest PTI Sindh lawmaker Arsalan Taj

Sindh lawmaker from PTI Arsalan Taj Hussain was detained by unknown men in plain clothes from his home in Karachi, according to the Pakistan Tehreek-e-(PTI) Insaf’s provincial spokesperson on Sunday.

The detention occurred as the PTI accelerated its preparations for a rally led by Chairman Imran Khan in Lahore.

PTI general secretary in Karachi and PS-102 Karachi East 4 member of the provincial assembly Hussain had previously criticized Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Memon and PPP co-chair Asif Ali Zardari during a press conference.

Additionally, he asserted that the Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) was the “PPP’s B team” in reality.

The party said that Hussain was arrested by “guys in plain clothing” at his Gulshan-e-Iqbal home.

The spokesperson added that the MPA’s home was searched by the police during a raid. The PTI has denounced the detention of one of its members.

The homes of PTI legislators Khurram Sherzaman and Raja Azhar, the party’s spokesperson, were also raided. The party asserted that Azhar’s family was harassed while he was away from home, even though the two MPAs were not arrested since they were not at home.

Once Hussain was taken into custody, his mother asserted that the police had broken into their house and taken her son without a warrant.

The policemen were not accompanied by a female officer. Our home was searched by the cops. She claimed that “we don’t know where they have taken Arsalan,” adding that between 20 and 25 persons had chosen the legislator.

The party posted a video of the MPA being taken by the police on Twitter.

Meanwhile, the police announced that they had been informed that the MPA had disappeared.

The police stated that they were looking into Arsalan Taj’s disappearance.

Even though the party has maintained that men in plain clothes were responsible for the lawmaker’s arrest.
