Usman Dar sends defamation notice to Khawaja Asif

Federal Minister Khawaja Asif has received an Rs10 billion defamation notice from the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Usman Dar for alleging the party of being involved in selling tickets.

PTI leader Usman Dar has sent a notice in which it is claimed that Khawaja Asif has accused Imran Khan of selling tickets, made up claims that he stole $300 million from Sialkot. He said that Khawaja Asif made unfounded claims against Sialkot ticket holders, and slandered Imran Khan and party leaders in the media.

Khawaja Asif was given notice that he must apologize in writing to the PTI chairman and publish the apology in the country’s top newspapers.

Usman Dar claimed that Khawaja Asif used falsehoods and slander as justification for not even obtaining his party’s own candidates for tickets. He said that the PML-N leader had insulted the residents of Sialkot in addition to the election candidates.
