Actor and director Usman Mukhtar has unveiled the poster for his upcoming directorial work, a film called ‘Gulabo Rani’.
Whether it’s going to be a short film or a full-length feature film is not known yet, but keeping under consideration Usman’s previous directorial record, it’s probably going to be a short film like the ones he has been making for quite a while now, even before he entered the Pakistani showbiz industry as a film and television actor.
The film, as Usman Mukhtar tells, is a joint production of Eastern Terrestrial Studios and Downtown Films. Eastern Terrestrial Films, also called ET Studios, has just been initiated as a combined production house of Usman Mukhtar and Meriaj Haq, and ‘Gulabo Rani’ happens to be the first project under its banner. The last short film which garnered the admiration of many as being the directorial work of the ‘Hum Kahan Ke Sache The’ fame actor was ‘Bench’, in which he acted himself along with Rabiya Chaudhry. The film got screened at multiple international film festivals before being made available for the Pakistani viewers on YouTube.
Currently, Usman Mukhtar is working in drama serial ‘Sinf-e-Aahan’ under the direction of Nadeem Baig, while his own directorial work, ‘Gulabo Rani’ is slated for release next month.
