A fake notification regarding petroleum prices has been circulating on social media. While the government has denounced it as false, it appears that the government’s denial has not reached PML-Z president Ijazul Haq. He shared the image of the notification on his Twitter account, stating: “Thanks to the PDM Government and all coalition partners for their hard work in the past 16 months to revive the sinking economy. Please come back, as the people of Pakistan are eagerly waiting to welcome you with open arms and ‘Empty’ hands.”

Many of his followers ridiculed the former federal minister for his ignorance, turning him into the subject of jokes. A word of advice for the politician: verify before you tweet, and contemplate before you speak.
