Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has urged the populace to consider the economic disaster, corruption, patronage of mafias, and destruction created in the name of change during the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s rule as they exercised their democratic right to vote in the by-elections taking place in 20 of Punjab’s constituencies.

“Pakistan had strayed away from its destiny under the tenure of PTI,” Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said in a statement through a series of tweets on Sunday.

In a series of tweets, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif urged people to reject the politics of division, hatred, and disorder through the power of vote.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif further said that our civilization was no longer beautiful because of “individual ego, ineptitude, and political way of thinking”. The Prime Minister said he had complete faith in the people’s decision and advised them to cast their ballots in favor of the advancement of their country and the bright future of next generations.

PM Shehbaz called put PTI leadership, claiming that Punjab had the worst government in the previous four years and that civilians had been denied access to free medical care and scholarships.

He insisted that during the PTI administration, there was a free market for government positions, postings, and transfers. The prime minister said, “Civic facilities were in a mess and lawlessness was at its pinnacle during the Imran Khan-led administration.”

He said that the treatment with Punjab was an insult of the people of the province.
