Wicketkeeper-batsman Muhammad Rizwan sustained an injury while batting on Saturday.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) issued a statement regarding Mohammad Rizwan’s injury,saying that it is not a serious one. Mohammad Rizwan was feeling pain in his back and was rested as a precaution in the second innings.
In the second T20 match played against New Zealand, Mohammad Rizwan could not maintain his balance while sweeping and did not keep wickets due to back pain. Wicket-keeper batsman Mohammad Haris performed the wicket-keeping duties in his place.
It should be noted that after winning the second T20 match against New Zealand, Pakistan won the series of five matches 2-0. The third T20 will be played in Lahore, while the fourth and fifth T20s will be played in Rawalpindi.
In the second T20 match, national team captain Babar Azam played a memorable inning of 101 runs. Mohammad Rizwan, who was injured during the innings, made a half-century, while Iftikhar Ahmed scored an unbeaten 33.
