Will Imran Khan be disqualified from six constituencies?

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan has not yet submitted the details of election expenditure for six constituencies in the by-elections and the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has decided to take action on the matter.

Imran Khan has submitted the details of expenses only as a successful candidate from Charsadda but the details of expenses were submitted after the stipulated time.

Imran Khan’s victory could not be notified for not submitting the details of election expenses. Returning officers will issue a show-cause notice to PTI Chairman in this regard.

According to the law details of expenses have to be submitted within three days after the elections. In light of the previous court’s decision Imran Khan can also be disqualified for the upcoming elections.

Candidates have been disqualified in the past for not submitting details of election expenses in the past. Supreme Court had also barred the defeated candidate from contesting the upcoming elections.
