With people’s support I don’t need crutches of establishment, Imran Khan

We’ll be on roads again; PTI Chairman’s meeting with journalists and interview to British broadcaster

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan has announced to come out on the streets again after the removal of Section 144, he said it while talking to reporters at his Zaman Park residence in Lahore.

Earlier, in an interview to the BBC, Imran Khan said, “There is a statement going on that I want to talk to the Army Chief, but I do not need the establishment as the party with which the people of the country are does not need crutches.”

PTI Chairman Imran Khan said that the events of March 8 were part two of May 25. He said that the same officers are involved in yesterday’s incident who participated on May 25 and that their plan was whether Imran Khan would be arrested or disqualified.

They are running away and trying to attack me, Imran Khan said adding that Section 144 has been abolished and they will come out on the streets again to start election rallies. He said that if elections are not held in 90 days then there will be no constitution and law in the country.

He further said that their [PML-N] plan was to divide the judiciary and campaign against the Chief Justice of Pakistan but PTI will never allow this plan to succeed. In response to a question, Imran Khan said that he never asked to meet the current Army Chief.

PTI chairman said that as the cases were being filed against him it seemed that a century will be made soon. Criticizing the PML-N Chief Organizer and PPP Chairman, Imran Khan said that Maryam and Bilawal were brought up with corruption money.

He said that he only wants elections in the country and for that he is ready to talk to anyone. In response to a question, Imran Khan clarified that he never invited the Army Chief or Shahbaz Sharif to talk.

answering about the attitude of the establishment after the change of military leadership, the PTI chairman said, “It did not matter to us as cases were made during general Bajwa’s tenure, never before have there been so much custodial torture on senior people but the strictness has increased.”

He further said, “They want me to be disqualified or go to jail and win this election but the nation was against the ruling parties so I won the 2018 election.”
