World Children’s Day: Faisalabad DC holds awareness walk

Ali Shahzad says district govt fully committed to providing all-out facilities to children in education, health and sports sectors.

A walk was held in connection with World Children’s Day with district administration and CPWF collaboration. Deputy Commissioner Ali Shahzad and Member of Provincial Assembly (MPA) Firdous Rai led the walk, which started from DC Complex and culminated at the same spot after passing different roads.

Focal person Child Protection Bureau advocate Mohsin Raza Malik, Dr Jaffar Hassan Mubarik, District Control Room In-charge Muhammad Sadiq, educationalist Akhtar Butt, officers of CPWB and children in a large number participated.

Addressing the participants, Shahzad said the district govt was fully committed to providing all-out facilities to the children in education, health and sports sectors. Several measures had been taken in this regard. He said that it was the joint responsibility of society to protect the children’s rights, and deprived children should not be neglected. He said that special children should be associated with social activities to bring them into the mainstream of development. He appreciated the walk arrangements and noted that the children of different educational institutions, special children and girls guides had been provided healthy opportunities recreational to mark World Children’s Day.

Rai said Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar had taken revolutionary steps for the betterment of child institutes.

She stressed the need of taking drastic measures for the welfare and betterment of the street children. She said that the purpose of this walk was to highlight the children’s rights and provide them with the opportunity for amusement.
