{"id":205497,"date":"2024-03-27T20:51:33","date_gmt":"2024-03-27T15:51:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/minutemirror.com.pk\/?p=205497"},"modified":"2024-03-27T20:51:33","modified_gmt":"2024-03-27T15:51:33","slug":"hearing-on-restoration-of-x-postponed-until-april-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/minutemirror.com.pk\/hearing-on-restoration-of-x-postponed-until-april-2-205497\/","title":{"rendered":"Hearing on restoration of X postponed until April 2"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Lahore: The Lahore High Court has postponed the hearing on various petitions for the restoration of X (formerly Twitter) until April 2.<\/p>\n<p>In the Lahore High Court, a hearing was held on various petitions for the restoration of the social media app X (Twitter) during which Justice Asim Hafeez postponed the hearing on Advocate Huzaifa Naeem&#8217;s petition.<\/p>\n<p>During the hearing, Justice Asim Hafeez inquired about the nature of the request to which the petitioner informed the court that the PTI government had made access to X impossible for citizens. In response, Justice Asim Hafeez remarked that a minister had suggested a very good solution the other day advising the use of VPN.<\/p>\n<p>In reply, the petitioner stated that if the police say not to take a certain route because there are robbers then that is not a solution.<\/p>\n<p>The petitioner requested the court to declare the suspension of Twitter illegal and instruct the authorities to ensure public access to Twitter.<\/p>\n<p>The court deferred the hearing on the request until April 2.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Lahore: The Lahore High Court has postponed the hearing on various petitions for the restoration of X (formerly Twitter) until April 2.
