Yashma Gill, Jan Rambo, and Adnan Shah Tipu take on roles in a tale involving a middle-aged police officer’s pursuit of a life partner.
In the new show titled “Bashu,” brought to the audience by the OTT platform Tamasha, these actors play significant roles.
The production, a collaboration between Tamasha and Tall Man Films, unfolds across six episodes and follows the story of an unmarried police officer in his middle years. This officer embarks on a comedic journey to find a wife, driven by the opportunity of a marriage allowance offered by his department.
From the preview, it becomes evident that Tipu, portrayed as Rambo’s friend, devises a plan to secure the allowance meant for married officers. This is where Gill’s character enters the scene, appearing as a thief with whom Rambo’s character develops romantic feelings.
The series’ first two episodes were made available on August 11, with the subsequent episodes being released every Friday at 9 pm exclusively on the Tamasha app.
Tamasha’s initial original series, “Family Bizniss,” featured a cast including Asim Azhar, Mah-e-nur Haider, Saife Hasan, Salma Hasan, Bushra Habib, and Hussain Mohsin.
