Yasir Hussain to make his directorial debut with Mansha Pasha starrer, ‘Koel’

Yasir Hussain’s versatility is not unknown to Pakistanis. A theatre, television and film actor, a screen-writer and a host, Yasir Hussain’s is a popular name in the country’s showbiz industry.

As per his own post, Yasir Hussain now seems to have tried his hands at direction as well, perhaps the only thing in the field of showbiz which he hadn’t experimented with up till now.

Hussain shared a poster on Instagram of a drama serial titled Koel. An elegant poster showing minimal usage of colours, it featured Mansha Pasha and Fahad Sheikh, with the titular bird in black in the background. Yasir Hussain, upon sharing the poster, said that he needs good wishes for this venture of his; his debut as a drama director.

From the poster which shows Mansha Pasha with folded arms and a raised eyebrow coupled with a sly smile, Koel probably looks like a dark drama serial incorporating evil tactics and witchcraft. Nothing can be said for sure, for the director did not share much detail along-with the poster, except for the fact that it has been written by Zanjabeel Asim Shah, the lady behind notable dramatic projects like Pyar Ke Sadqay, Saat Pardo’n Mein and Balaa.

Neither the channel nor the releasing date of the serial has been announced yet.
