Yasir Shah, Pakistani leg-spinner, has been cleared of sexual assault charges after being booked last month. On December 20, a First Information Report (FIR) was filed against Yasir Shah and his friend, Farhan, under sections 292-B and 292-C (child pornography) and 376 (rape penalty) of the Pakistan Penal Code, according to the complainant. Yasir’s name, however, has since been removed from the lawsuit.
The victim indicated in the supplemental report of Islamabad’s Shalimar police station that Yasir Shah had nothing to do with the incident and that his name was taken owing to deception.
