Youm-e-Ali, the anniversary of Hazrat Ali’s martyrdom, is celebrated across Pakistan with religious enthusiasm and stern security.
In various locations around the nation, funeral processions are conducted along predetermined itineraries. To prevent any unfortunate occurrence on the occasion of Youm-e-Ali (R.A.), strict security measures have been put in place.
In Karachi, the major procession will begin at Nishtar Park and end at Imambargah Hussainia in Kharadar in the late afternoon.
A traffic diversion plan for Youm-e-Ali (RA) has been made public by the Karachi Traffic Police. Along Karachi’s MA Jinnah Road, Empress Market, Saddar, and Preedy Street, there are roadblocks and containers in place.
For the main procession in Lahore, more surveillance cameras have been set up, and security has been stepped up.
In Islamabad, the main procession will emerge from Imambargah Qasar Zainabya in Sector G-5/4.
