Zardari hospitalised

Asif Ali Zardari, former President of Pakistan and co-chairman of Pakistan People’s Party on Tuesday was reportedly admitted to a private hospital in Karachi.

The party sources, who wished not to be named, said that Zardari, who had been resting in Karachi for the past few weeks after his return from Dubai was shifted to hospital for medical checkup. “Asif Zardari has been admitted a private hospital in Clifton after his health deteriorated on Tuesday evening,” added the sources.

Dr Asim Husain along with other specialists of chest diseases were examining Zardari and a medical procedure would be performed on his lungs. Zardari, who also underwent some tests during his stay in UAE few weeks back, was said to be under medication by doctors after being rushed to the hospital. The party leaders at Bilawal House remained silent on the shifting of the co-chairman of PPP.
