Asif Ali Zardari’s close friend Younus Kidwai has surrendered before the Islamabad High Court (IHC) in the fake bank account case.
A two-member bench of the Islamabad High Court headed by Chief Justice passed the written verdict.
In the written verdict, it has been said that according to the applicant’s lawyer, Younus Kidwai has surrendered to the trial court. It stated that after the applicant surrenders, the application for protective bail is disposed of.
Younus Kidwai has returned home from Canada and surrendered in the trial court, six references were pending against him.
Under the new NAB Amendment Act, three references have been returned to NAB, while three references against Younus Kidwai are pending in the accountability court. But on this, NAB has given a statement to the court that the arrest of Younus Kidwai is not required in the three references under trial.
Accountability Court Judge Muhammad Bashir will hear the Pink Residency reference on June 8.
