A 100-year-old former US soldier and his 96-year-old girlfriend, Jane Swarlin, have decided to tie the knot after dating for two years.

According to media reports, Harold Terence and Jane Swarlin have planned their wedding ceremony in France. This choice holds special significance for Harold, as France was the first country he set foot in as a 20-year-old US Air Force pilot during World War II.

Harold will also be honored by the government on the 80th anniversary of France’s independence in June 2024 for his service as an American soldier in liberating France from the Nazis.

In an interview with a local news channel, Harold expressed his love for Jane, stating, “I love this girl so much, she’s so special to me.” He also mentioned their shared passion for dancing.

Jane Swarlin, speaking about her soon-to-be husband, described Harold as a wonderful man who openly expresses his love for her.

Both Harold and Jane grew up in New York, with Harold hailing from Brooklyn and Jane from the Bronx.
