17% of Saudi jobs likely to be impacted by AI

International experts suggest that artificial intelligence (AI) could affect 17% of jobs in Saudi Arabia within the next three years.

Arab media reports that Najla Najam, a business manager at a US-based consulting firm, stated that AI could change how people work and might even replace some jobs altogether.

Experts believe that AI could impact 80% of creative jobs and potentially threaten 53% of executive positions.

The study also noted that workers in the Middle East are more concerned with productivity issues compared to workers in other regions. However, it is expected that companies will offer training to help employees adapt to the new challenges brought by AI.

Many of those likely to be affected by AI are people born in the 1990s to early 21st century whose jobs could be at risk.

Oliver, director of Middle East operations at a global consulting company, mentioned that given the changing landscape, 17% of jobs in Saudi Arabia could be replaced by AI within the next three years.
