3 female cricketers suspended by PCB over assault allegations

According to reports, two female players, Sadaf Shams and Yusra, allegedly assaulted cricketer Ayesha Bilal, during the National Women’s Cricket Championship.

Reportedly, the scuffle left Ayesha’s nose bleeding. Despite maintaining silence at first, Ayesha later filed a complaint against Sadaf and Yusra.

In response, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) issued a provisional ban to all three players, preventing them from participating in any cricketing activity.

Tania Malik, Chairperson of Women’s Cricket, is scheduled to arrive in Rawalpindi to undertake an investigation into the matter.

The National Women’s Cricket championship consists of six regional teams: Karachi, Lahore, Multan, Peshawar, Quetta, and Rawalpindi. The three suspended cricketers Sadaf, Yusra, and Ayesha Bilal play for Lahore, Karachi, and Multan, respectively.
