‘7 Days in Coney Island’ is one of Mehreen Jabbar’s upcoming works

Director Mehreen Jabbar has announced another upcoming project of hers, a limited television series stretching across three episodes by the name of ‘7 Days in Coney Island’.

The ‘Ramchand Pakistani’ fame director announced the series on the weekend, sharing a still from it and saying that the work revolving around the series had reached its final stage, and that the series would be focusing on a “Pakistani hood in Coney Island”, Coney Island being a New York City neighbourhood.

This also reminded many of Mehreen Jabbar’s fans of her drama serial ‘Jackson Heights’, based on the lives of South Asians settled together in the form of a colony in America. Trusting Mehreen Jabbar with such narratives which revolve around the predicaments of expatriates, another example being her series ‘New York Stories’, people are eagerly looking forward to ‘7 Days in Coney Island’.

‘7 Days in Coney Island’ is one of Jabbar’s two projects around the corner, the other one being the web-series ‘Farar’ which is all set to release this very year. As far as ‘7 Days in Coney Island’ is concerned, neither a final date nor a channel has been announced yet.
