Khan Seeking support from establishment: Khawaja Asif

Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has said that Imran Khan was trying to seek help from the establishment in order to flee his difficulties.

While speaking on a private TV channel program, Khawaja Asif said that Imran Khan’s repeated failures had resulted in a loss of senses.

He said that Imran Khan had been continuously blaming Pakistan Army, but on the other hand he has also been looking towards establishment to help him escape the current scenario.

Asif stated that the government was taking tough decisions to achieve stability and that the result of these choices would be in the best interest of the country.

Speaking about the closure of markets at 8:30pm, Asif said that the decision will help save electricity and as a result power would be saved.

Talking about the survey conducted by Institute for Public Opinion (IPOR) and the survey’s revelation that the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz had lost popularity, the defence minister was of the view that the coalition government should contest the next general elections from the platform of the Pakistan Democratic Movement because that way they could win elections.
